Mike and Robyn Fergus established Insignia Design and Architecture Ltd in 2007, they wanted to develop a team who are passionate, creative and focused on delivering a service to our clients that will ensure you have a home that you love in every way. We believe communication is a key focus and our team will listen and communicate every step of the way.
Our work ranges from residential homes, renovations, commercial and community based projects all across New Zealand. We appreciate good design and realise that to create the desired result the integration of the build process needs to be seamless.
At Insignia Design we pride ourselves on the relationships and friendships that we build within the community and Industry. Our team has the attitude that nothing is a problem and that everything is achievable no matter how big or small.

Mike Fergus

LICENSED BUILDING PRACTITIONER, PROFESSIONAL MEMBER OF ADNZ

Born and raised in Tauranga Mike completed his National Diploma in Architectural Technology in the glorious Bay of Plenty with outstanding results and high gratitude from all involved.
During his years after study he undertook many contracts in the architectural field ranging from small additions to high level homes, apartments and commercial projects.
Not wanting to narrow the field of industry knowledge, he travelled to Perth Australia to gain further industry experience. Being involved with one of Australia’s leading housing and construction companies, commanding a high priority role within the respected organisation as an Architectural Designer.
With over 18 years of industry involvement and practical experience, Mike brings to his clients his wealth of knowledge and understanding of the building industry, coupled with a passion for design and an understanding of individual desires. He will have a practical solution for all your architecture needs.
On his time off you can find Mike spending time with his Wife Robyn and their three boys, relaxing in the waters of the Bay of Plenty fishing or Riding the Trails around the Bay of Plenty.

Adrian Ford

Born in Hamilton and raised in the Bay of Plenty Adrian has lived the majority of his life in Tauranga. He is married to Larissa and they have two young boys which keeps them busy.
Having completed a National Diploma in Architectural Technology, Adrian brings to Insignia Design over 18 years of industry experience in Architectural Design and Construction Documentation.
Adrian approaches his work professionally, is passionate about design, analytical, innovative, articulate, and logical in his way of thinking.
Adrian possesses a wealth of knowledge, from buildings codes and regulations, to products and materials. He enjoys being part of a team environment, and interacting with clients to make sure their ideas are ‘brought to life’ on paper.
Having been in the industry for many years, Adrian has worked on an extensive range of projects, which includes commercial, renovations, and new home design.
In his spare time Adrian enjoys the out-door pursuits that the Bay of Plenty has to offer such as fishing, and Mountain Biking. Adrian is approachable, friendly, and highly respected among his peers. No request is too much trouble.
